In addition to the medal winners eight students placed 4th, nine students placed 5th and two
students placed 6th. In all, twenty-one students placed in the top six places while another thirty-one placed seventh through tenth place. Forty four SkillsUSA Illinois students received "Skill Point" certificates which represent a proficiency assessment of the competency areas tested for each contest. The same industry leaders who defined the competencies for the Championships determined a "cut score" that indicates excellence for students entering technical fields.
