One hundred fourteen students from 38
High Schools and Colleges in Illinois were part of a
delegation of 202 individuals that participated as
competitors and voting delegates in Kansas City, Missouri
in June 2007 at the 43rd National Leadership and Skills
Conference sponsored by SkillsUSA. Competitions were held
in 87 occupational and leadership skill areas. All fifty
states were represented along with the District of
Columbia and Puerto Rico.
Illinois SkillsUSA is proud
to announce that Donald W. Bauc, Illinois State Director
from Mokena, Illinois was awarded the Life Membership
Award, National SkillsUSA's highest honor.
We are also proud to announce that 11 students won
medals at this year's SkillsUSA Championships.
